Described as having a "deep, expressive voice," and "setting a high theatrical bar," by the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Samuel Green is a versatile singer and voice over artist.
In 2013, Samuel began his tenure with the full-time professional men's vocal ensemble, Cantus. Working without a music director, the artists of Cantus program, rehearse, and perform collaboratively in a chamber music setting.
With Cantus, Samuel maintains an active and prolific touring schedule, performing in the world's most prestigious concert halls at home and abroad, including Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and Taipei National Concert Hall (Taiwan), along with premiering new works for men's voices by David Lang, Libby Larsen, Gabriel Kahane, Ysaye Barnwell, and Jeff Beal, among others.
Prior to joining Cantus, Samuel was a sought after musician in the thriving Kansas City arts scene, lending his voice to several ensembles including the GRAMMY® Award Winning Kansas City Chorale under the direction of Charles Bruffy, the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers, and Kantorei of Kansas City. In addition to chorister experience, Samuel has taken the stage performing jazz, barbershop, southern gospel, and country music as a soloist and ensemble musician.
When he is not singing, Samuel is a voice over artist. His recent projects include promotional narration, online tutorials, audio books, spoken word for new compositions, and other freelance work.
